Carrie Fick, OD
A native of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Dr. Fick graduated in 1998 with a
degree in Biology from WVU. During her education at WVU, she conducted 2
years of breast cancer research, was involved in many campus organizations
and received the Order of Augusta award upon graduation. She completed her
optometry degree at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2002.
While in Columbus, she was a member of Epsilon Psi Epsilon optometry
fraternity. Dr. Fick completed an ocular disease externship at the Hampton
VA hospital in Hampton, Virginia.
Dr. Fick is a member of the American Optometric Association and the West
Virginia Optometric Association and has participated in the Special Olympics
Opening Eyes program in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Fick met her husband Jim in Columbus. They were married in Morgantown
in 2004. After spending 5 years practicing optometry in Anchorage, Alaska,
they have returned to WV. She enjoys exercising, painting, quilting and
spending time with her family.
